We talk a lot about keeping the “fun” in fundraising. Some organizations have that concept nailed down!
Recently, the Greater Green Bay Area YMCA kicked off their 2010 annual support campaign. Their theme is “Giving Back to the Future.” (great theme, right?)
During their kickoff, they offered a serious training opportunity for volunteers and staff, but they also had a lot of fun. Steve Harty, CEO, dressed up as Doc Brown from the movie “Back to the Future.” Staff and volunteers wore costumes and were even entertained by a local Elvis impersonator!

It was a memorable kickoff that combined education with enthusiasm, and fundraising with FUN!
