The AWC Family Foundation

Steve currently serves as the Executive Director of The AWC Family Foundation in Nashville, Tennessee.  Prior to that he served as Executive Director of The Healing Winds Foundation for over 10 years.  He was the V.P. for Institutional Advancement at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska from 1987-2000 and the Dean of Admissions at the same school from 1980-1987.  He managed three capital campaigns totaling over $70,000,000.

He served as the past President of the New Mexico Association of Grant makers from 2004-2006 and was chair of the Nebraska Independent College Foundation from 1994-1996.  Steve serves as Co-Chair of the New Mexico Commission on Community Volunteerism, a position shared with the Lt. Governor Dianne Denish.  Also, he served on the Board of the Santa Fe Desert Chorale.  Steve was the moderator of the United Church of Santa Fe and served as chair of several finance and endowment committees.  He has spoken for a variety of groups on non-profit trends and foundation challenges.
