LESSONS FROM A RELUCTANT ASKER

Recently, I had a chance to sit down with my former pastor and dear friend, Lee Heyward, as part of our on-going What Matters podcast conversations.

Over the course of my career, I’ve been honored to work with many churches. Our conversation ranged over our history together and what we’ve both learned about encouraging generosity in others. As my colleague Jon Simons put it, “There are great lessons here on generosity, not just for the faith community, but for anyone who describes themselves as a reluctant asker.”

Soon we’ll feature the second half of the interview, which contains even more lessons for inspiring generosity in your volunteers, your congregation, and yourself.
