THE GIFT OF GIVING

This is the second of a two-part conversation with my friend, Lee Heyward, as part of our What Matters podcast series. (Did you miss the first part? Listen to it now.)

In this half of the conversation, Lee reflected on ways to help volunteers grow in their ability to ask for money. (Hint: It starts with challenging them to say thank you!) We also talked about “generosity” vs “philanthropy,” and the Biblical case for giving generously. Whether you’re a believer or not, I think you’ll find a lot of great food for thought on how to tap into the potential of those who have the “gift of giving.”

Soon we’ll feature the second half of the interview, which contains even more lessons for inspiring generosity in your volunteers, your congregation, and yourself.
