Michelle Gorham, MPH, CFRE, is an experienced communicator and fundraiser helping nonprofits implement strategies to tell their stories and raise the dollars they need. Michelle is an adjunct Senior Consultant with DBD Group. She currently is the Chief Advancement Officer with YMCA of Rock River Valley. She brings real-time experience and unique skillsets to our clients.
Because the most important ingredient to successful fundraising is strong relationships, Michelle coaches teams to be genuine in building personal connections and to use tried-and-true and innovative fundraising strategies to be successful. Michelle has nearly 30 years of experience in health care, education, and local and national nonprofits, and has developed skills in annual support, direct response, major giving, grant writing and administration, board development and management, staff development, and communication.

Michelle volunteers as a board member for the Golden Apple Foundation of Rockford and Northern Illinois University Alumni Association. She is active in her local Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Michelle graduated with both a bachelor’s degree in organizational and corporate communications and a master’s degree in public health from Northern Illinois University and lives in Rockford, Illinois. She is married and has two grown daughters.
